Why use a buyer's broker?

Who do you turn to when you have a medical issue? Where do you go when you have a serious legal problem? In the ever changing, confusing tax world, whom do you trust to give you timely, expert advice? The purchase of a yacht is no different. It would be foolish to consider purchasing a yacht without the professional assistance of a qualified, experienced Yacht Broker.

And what if that service was free?

Experienced professional buyer’s brokers have access to resources that most yacht buyers do not have. Access to sophisticated and reliable multiple listing services save time finding the right yacht that meet a buyer's needs. An experienced buyer’s broker can provide invaluable inside information about boats that are not yet on the market or that are not being actively marketed by their owners but still available for sale.

The seller pays all fees and commissions!

A buyer’s broker provides an objective view that can expedite the selection process by helping the buyer clearly define his yachting requirements. A buyer’s broker works for you. His sole responsibility is to find, negotiate and close on behalf of the buyer. An objective buyer’s broker will bring his vast experience to bear for his client.

And it’s free!

A buyer’s broker removes you from the direct negotiating process. Many people find the negotiating process to be an uncomfortable, tedious part of the buying experience.

A buyer’s broker eliminates that worry. A buyer’s broker helps you buy with your head and not your heart. An experienced buyer’s broker knows the market intimately and will keep you from over paying.

A buyer’s broker will also have up-to-date information on financing and can refer you to the best loan opportunities available at the time.

An experienced and professional buyer’s broker will advise the buyer throughout the due diligence process by identifying and recommending the most qualified individuals to conduct the surveys as well as advising the buyer on issues to look out for based on his experience.

In addition an experienced buyer’s broker will provide local information on such services as insurance, repair and retrofit contractors, dockage, and even crew and maintenance personnel.

And it’s free!

Once the buyer has accepted the purchase, a buyer’s broker continues to provide invaluable assistance through the titling or documentation process. If the yacht is a foreign flagged vessel, set up as a corporation, or existing under any number of other special circumstances, the services of an experienced buyer’s broker becomes even more valuable.

In Florida, all yacht brokers must be licensed and bonded with the state, as such we are a certified escrow agent. Your earnest money will be safely deposited in your buyer’s brokers escrow account, not the selling brokers account.

From the beginning of the negotiating process to the final closing, questions and problems sometime arise. Unexpected repairs are required after the survey or a glitch in the title or other paperwork is discovered. The work required to fix these issues can be overwhelming for many sellers. An experienced buyer’s broker can objectively help you resolve these issues and move the transaction to closing.

And it’s free!
